A special point of time for all project participants and base for the ecological and econmical efficiency of alpine energy production from water: The treatment plant for sediments of glacier grindings was officially transfered to the operating company VERBUND Austria Hydro Power AG.
Thereby the customer gets a sustainable functioning solution for the elimination of the sediment discharges on the dewatering conduit of the reservoir „Margaritze“ at the „Hohe Tauern“-mountains. Now the mixture of sediments of glacier grindings and water is transfered via a 15 km-long transport pipeline to the annual storage reservoir „Moserboden“ - instead of the previous and conventional relocation. ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH, instructed with the delivery and supervision of the installation of the plant, makes an important contribution for the use of the natural resource water as source of environment-friendly produced energy.
