16.11.2009 ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH: Renewed Major Contract in the Field of Mining and Metallurgy in Uzbekistan
Contract for the engineering, supply and commissioning of an innovative gold recovery plant in Uzbekistan
ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH was involved in the past in the reconstruction of a gold recovery plant in Navoj Uzbekistan. The Uzbek Mining Kombinat Navoj (NGMK) now awarded a successor contract to build a gold recovery plant to the plant engineering company based in Moenchengladbach/Germany.
The project responsibilities under the new order, even going far beyond the current duties of the company's previous project "Kokpatas I" ENGINEERING DOBERSEK is now responsible for the engineering, supply and commissioning of future hydro-metallurgical plant.
The processing of gold ore is carried by "BIOX ®" bioleaching process technologies of the South African company BIOMIN. The Sulphide ores contained in the gold ore desposits "Kokpatas" and "Daugystau" are difficult to treat.
By using bacteria the structures of the sulfur-sulfide minerals can be broken and the fine and enclosed gold can be gained by the ecologically improved bioleaching process.
ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH has to care for optimal conditions for operating the plant.
In order for this technically demanding process can function efficiently, ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH, optimal conditions for operating the plant.
Previously sulphide ores could be processed only by Pyrometallurgie, as evidenced by the higher Al-content meant very negative ecological impact on the environment.
The so-called bio-hydrometallurgy has broken new ground in this area and thus makes a major contribution in the field of ecology.
ENGINEERING DOBERSEK GmbH has to care for optimal conditions for operating the plant.
The contract is worth approximately 35 million euros. The completion of the gold recovery plant is scheduled for 2011.
